ABOUT ROZTOČ
(... read it like "roztotch" if you don't want to be lame ???? ) is an international festival based on circus and flow arts, theatre and all kinds of movement art forms, but in fact also a music festival - with dozens of live bands and DJs, with genres ranging from balkan, klezmer, cumbia and latin, to drum'n'bass, dubstep or psytrance.
Our motivation is simply to have as much fun as possible and to allow people to learn new skills and share. You will not be bored. This year's space is perfect escape from reality into the colourful world we create. With endless amount of different art decos, visual installations, many small stages and scenes, this year might remind you festivals like Burning Man or Ozora (in much smaller scale of course)
Renowned artists and the audience comes together in celebration to inspire & expose the arts involved. This is not an event where you sit and watch. We'll get you moving!
All events and workshops are suitable for participants of any ages.
We go together deep into the disciplines & find the ways to involve everyone. Movement and desire are the only needs to help anyone to learn a few tricks and get the most from such a weekend.
There is a special program for kids only as well. Apart from that we will have many artists who will teach anyone individually with any prop (all the juggling props will be available to borrowed)
About the space
Raketová zakladna Bratronice (“Rocket base Bratronice”) is an old military base and sort of a dream festival venue. Set in the nature, it’s a perfect combination of natural and industrial vibes. With 6 bunkers, tunnels, and various artistic installations build by metal artist / welders, wood constructions, tree houses and other artistic consrtuctions, often build in post-apocalyptic and cyber-punk style. It provides a perfect variety of different ambiences, and with our superp-deco team, you’ll be able to just wonder around all night and keep discovering news spaces and art.
